This is only my third year doing this, I missed it last couple of years. Completely spaced on it, but I've been a little better about blogging this year. Kind of.
**2019 READING STATS**
Number Of Books You Read: 92 (97 if we're counting DNF's)
Number of Re-Reads: 3
Genre You Read The Most: Fantasy (like usual)
1. Best Book You Read In 2019?
OOhh, tough. I read a lot of really good books this year that were all amazing for different reasons.
2. Book You Were Excited About and Thought You Were Going To Love More But Didn’t?
The Never Tilting World by Rin Chupeco
I was just bored. There were 4 alternating POVs, and even though the chapters were titled with who was narrating they weren't clear. The titles used Nicknames for the characters sometimes, and their voices weren't different enough for me to tell them apart, especially with it being told from first person POV.

3. Most surprising (in a good way or bad way) book you read?
The Trials of Morrigan Crow by Jessica Townsend
It gave me Harry Potter vibes in the best way. That magical feeling I got the first time I read HP, I got reading Nevermoor.

4. Book You “Pushed” The Most People To Read (And They Did)?
I have no idea if anyone read any of the books I recommended this year, beyond a friend reading Nevermoor, so that series I guess.

Book of the Ancestor by Mark Lawrence, read the whole series this year, and it was just fantastic.
6. Favorite new author, you discovered in 2019?
7. Best book from a genre you don’t typically read/was out of your comfort zone?
The Vanished Birds by Simon Jimenez
It's Sci-fi, a genre I struggle to find books that interest me. And this one was pretty good. I gave it, 3.5 stars. Considering I DNF a lot of Sci-fi, that's a high rating for me.

10. Favorite cover of a book you read in 2019?

18. OTP OF THE YEAR (you will go down with this ship!)
Adelina and Magiano from The Young Elites series by Marie Lu.
This series was finished in 2016, and I've had the books since then I just didn't get around to finishing it until now.

19. Favorite Non-Romantic Relationship Of The Year
All the relationships between the main characters in The Boneless Mercies by April Genevieve Tucholke. They have all have such a deep connection to each other.
20. Favorite Book You Read in 2019 From An Author You’ve Read Previously
The Girl the Sea Gave Back by Adrienne Young
Part sequel, part spin-off of Sky in the Deep. It takes place about 10 years after the ending of the first book. I love this world so much, and I hope she writes more books. There need to be more Viking books.

21. Best Book You Read In 2019 That You Read Based SOLELY On A Recommendation From Somebody Else/Peer Pressure/Bookstagram, Etc.:
Red Sister by Mark Lawrence.
The whole trilogy actually. Fantastic books, everybody should read them.

22. Newest fictional crush from a book you read in 2019?
None. I don't really have fictional crushes anymore.
23. Best 2019 debut you read?
Not a debut author, but a debut to a new series.
I had a hard time remembering what books I read this year that also came out this year, as I mentioned, I've been playing catch-up with myself and my unread books, not really reading much new stuff. But this was one of the newer books I've read this year.

25. Book That Put A Smile On Your Face/Was The Most FUN To Read?
Nevermoor series by Jessica Townsend (there are only two books out currently)
One of the best Middle-grade series' I've read in a long time.
26. Book That Made You Cry Or Nearly Cry in 2019?
Recently finished this book, and the last third of the book I was trying fruitfully to keep myself from full-on bawling.

This was a really different book and a very interesting take on Mermaids.

It was weird and dark. I loved it, and I am looking forward to that sequel whenever it comes out.
30. Book That Made You The Angriest (doesn’t necessarily mean you didn’t like it)?
Probably, The School for Good and Evil by Soman Chainani.
It didn't really make me angry, more confused and disappointed. The age demographic was kind of all over the place. And the plot was kind of boring.

Daniel Greene, he has great Fantasy/Sci-fi content on his channel.
2. Favorite post you wrote in 2019?
I enjoy all my posts pretty equally. There are some I am less proud of because I didn't really put a lot of effort into them, Be it from being tired, to not really being in the mood to post but feeling obligated to because it had been a while since my last post.
3. A Favorite bookish related photo you took in 2019:?
I don't really take aesthetic book photos.
4. The best bookish event that you participated in (author signings, festivals, virtual events, etc.)?

All the new blogs I've found.

All the unread ones I still have on my shelf.
2. Book You Are Most Anticipating For 2020 (non-debut)?
The Seven Endless Forests by April Genevieve Tucholke
Spin-off of The Boneless Mercies. I loved the world that book was set in, and when I went looking for what other books were written by this author I saw that this one was coming out. And it sounds awesome.

Empire of the Vampire by Jay Kristoff
(No official cover yet)
(No official cover yet)
I love vampires, but even before Twilight changed what the topic means to people they had gotten a little stale. I have faith that Kristoff can bring something new and interesting to the sub-genre.
