Bulk Review: Non-Fiction Pt. 2

Continuing on my journey of reading non-fiction. I planned to read some earlier in the year but I hadn't gotten around to it until now.
I meant to post this before the end of the year, oops.

-----------------

This was very informative, but the delivery was very dry. I did listen to this on audio for part of it, but that was making it hard for me to follow and I switched to the ebook version, it helped a little. I thought and wanted it to be more focused on culture. But it's mostly listing names of events and names. Which, to my dumb brain, after awhile started to bleed together. I plan to look for more non-fiction books that cover Palestine, that goes more in-depth of culture.

-----------------

I feel like this book should be part of every high school history class. Unlikely to happen anytime soon, but it should be.
That being said, this book was very harrowing to read. I was aware of some of the information presented in this book from other things I've read the past couple of years, but a lot of it was new information to me, and I went through several emotions while reading this. I also noticed an honestly very depressing parallel to what is happening to immigrants in the US right now.  I can only suggest that more people read this book, and hope that things will get better.

-----------------
This book is wild. The things people used to do to try to 'cure' ailments, I'm really happy that even with the uptick of people distrusting science that none of these things have come back into use.
The section on Corpse Medicine was pretty gross, and I had to skip some of it.  I also had to take a small break while reading this because my library borrow timed up, so I decided to buy a physical copy.

-----------------
This was a book recommended to me by my therapist about a year ago, and it took me this long to get to it and read it. While this book did help me organize my feelings a little bit on how things were for me growing up, since I've had so many years stuck in my own head with it, I was already pretty self-aware that what they did was messed up and wrong.
It didn't feel like a lot of new information to me. Still think it was worth reading, since it did help me organize some of the stuff that I hadn't fully addressed yet. I think the other book in this topic would be more useful to me. I think it's about healing from this kind of trauma, which is what I need more.
