***********
I've been very lucky these past couple of years with my library having manga for me to read. I haven't been adding most of these to my 'Read' shelf on StoryGraph, mainly because I'm too lazy and I sometimes read multiple volumes in one day.

A Sign of Affection by suu Morishita, Vol. 1 - 11 (Read Oct. 19 - Dec. 8)
This is a very sweet and cute Shoujo. Yuki and Itsuomi are both in college, though Itsuomi is a couple years older. (he's 23, she's 20). Yuki is hearing impaired since birth, she communicates through text-messaging or writing things down. She meets Itsuomi on the her commute to college one fateful day, and they both almost instantly become smitten with each other. It does verge on insta-love, but I kind of don't care. They are both so sweet, and it's too cute to be annoyed at how quickly they fall. Yuki has so few people who know sign that it limits who can can communicate with, but Itsuomi already being multi-lingual doesn't hesitate to learn so he can talk to her on her level. They grow so much together, and Yuki gains more confidence being around Itsuomi because he doesn't treat her like she's fragile the way a lot of the other people around her do. There are at least two more volumes in this series, but they aren't currently at my library (I'm not even sure if they've been translated yet), so I'm going to have to wait for those.

Dandadan by Yukinobu Tatsu, Vol. 11 - 14 (Read Oct. 13 - Nov. 24)
Things keep getting more and more insane. Will Okarun ever get his balls back at this point? Whose to say. The final battle in vol. 14 was insane, and intense. I first read vol. 12 back in July, but completely forgot to take any notes on reading it.

Hana-Kimi by Hisaya Nakajo, Vol. 1 - 21 (Read Oct. 28 - Dec. 11)
This is a silly manga. It's very cliche at this point, but I didn't hate it. It's also very melodramatic a lot of the time. Some mild queer baiting, since this is a story about a girl who disguises herself as a boy to attend an all boys school to be near her track idol. She has a crush on him, but also admires him for this sports prowess. They end up being roommates in the dorms, and a lot of shenanigans ensue. I do think that Sano, the boy Mizuki transferred to Japan to meet, should've told her sooner that he knew she was a girl. I still have two volumes left in this series, and I had hoped to get to them before the end of the year, but alas I did not since the wait time at the library has been long.

How I Met My Soulmate by Anashin Vol. 1 - 4 (Read Nov. 17 - 20)
This story is a little messy. But I am enjoying it. The FMC, is a 20 year old collage student, who has never been in a relationship due to lack of connection to other men she's met, and still being a little hung up on her middle school crush. While she is a little shy, it's a more realistic reason to being single than the typical reasons in manga (aside from being hung up on a crush she had when she was 14, at 20). The interactions between characters feels grounded, and the mess isn't in the relationship. At least for now. The characters act their age, and I like that.

Love, That's an Understatement by Fujimomo, Vol. 2 - 4 (Read Nov. 23 - Dec. 31)
Such a cute manga. Badboy with a heart of gold (Zen), closed off girl who is too focused on studying to make close friends (Risa). She's very kind, but is also very straight forward and no-nonsense. The polar opposite from Zen, who lives every day he can to the fullest. Zen is so sweet to Risa, and it's cute when he gets a little self-conscious about being on the shorter side.
