Bulk Review: Manga Pt. 6

I've read *so* much manga this year. Hopefully next year I will actually read the books I own. It's been fun reading manga, and I love using my library, but I do want to get at least some of the books I own read.

****************
*****
Love Me, Love Me Not by Io Sakisaka, Vol. 1 - 12 (Read November 30 - December 12)
This series is more light-hearted than Blue Spring Ride, and I ended up being a little less invested in these characters and what they had to over come. The ending of this series was too fast. The characters make some really big decisions that I think should've been explored on-page. But after they make those decisions there's a 3-year time skip, and it just ends. I would've liked to read/see how they handle those big life changes from those decisions.

*****
InuYasha by by Rumiko Takahashi, Vol. 13 - 18 (Read November 19 - December 9)
These final volumes of InuYasha have been really interesting to read. I'm noticing more plot points that were shifted, and what was left out of, and added to, the anime for the final volumes. Reading this has made me love this series more.

*****
Apothecary Diaries by Natsu Hyuuga, Vol 11 & 12 (Read October 22 & November 25 )
I am so excited to read the next volume when it comes out. Volume 12 had the infamous 'Frog' scene that readers had teased. And it was so much funnier than they described it being. I can't wait for Maomao to find out Jinshi really is. There's been some double, maybe triple, fakes over who his 'real' parents are. Hints that confirm both assumptions. I am also way more excited for season 2 than I was before.

*****
Something's Wrong with Us by Natsumi Andō, Vol. 17 - 19 (Read October 20 - November 12)
These three volumes honestly aren't the best. They feel excessive. At the end of vol 19 the author did express that there was fan requests for more to tie up a couple of tiny loose ends. And while they were tied up, they felt dragged out. There was another 'evil step-mother' character introduced, and I don't know why. A character got a small redemption, and I didn't hate it. Overall, this was a great series, but if the last three volumes are skipped, you aren't missing out on much. (imo)

Reading the second task has a different impact. It's more of a "spectacle" in the anime, for obvious reasons.
I've been enjoying reading the things I already watched in the anime. I love this story, the characters have a complexity that isn't often used in story telling.

*****
Dandadan by Yukinobu Tatsu, Vol. 1 & 2 (Read October 25/November 2)
I started this series because the anime just came out and I'm really enjoying it. The volumes have been covering more of what's come out in the anime so far. So I'm ahead of the story in the manga than what's come out in the anime. So I think I'm gonna put this one on pause a until the end of season one.
This series is hilarious and I love the characters.
