Book Beginnings | Friday 56 | Blogger Hop || The Bands of Mourning (The Mistborn Saga #6) by Brandon Sanderson

Please join us over at RoseCityReader every Friday to share the first sentence (or so) of the book you are reading, along with your initial thoughts about the sentence, impressions of the book, or anything else the opener inspires. Please remember to include the title of the book and the author’s name.

This is a weekly meme hosted by Freda's Voice
These are the rules:
1. Grab a book, any book.
2. Turn to page 56, or 56% on your eReader.
3. Find any sentence (or a few, just don't spoil it) that grabs you.
4. Post it.
5. Add the URL to your post in the link on Freda's most recent Friday 56 post.

Synopsis:
The Bands of Mourning are the mythical metal minds owned by the Lord Ruler, said to grant anyone who wears them the powers that the Lord Ruler had at his command. Hardly anyone thinks they really exist. A kandra researcher has returned to Elendel with images that seem to depict the Bands, as well as writings in a language that no one can read. Waxillium Ladrian is recruited to travel south to the city of New Seran to investigate. Along the way he discovers hints that point to the true goals of his uncle Edwarn and the shadowy organization known as The Set.

Book Beginning:
"Telsin!" Waxillium hissed as he crept out of the training hut.

Friday 56:
"Gruesome," Wayne said in an approving tone, then took another swig of sherry.

Q: What is your method for writing reviews - do you write immediately after reading, wait a few days, or write as you are reading?

A: It depends. Sometimes I take a day to start the review, sometimes I start the review right after reading it and take a few days to complete my review.
