Synopsis:
Wunder is gathering in Nevermoor ...
Morrigan Crow may have defeated her deadly curse, passed the dangerous trials and joined the mystical Wundrous Society, but her journey into Nevermoor and all its secrets has only just begun. And she is fast learning that not all magic is used for good.
Morrigan Crow has been invited to join the prestigious Wundrous Society, a place that promised her friendship, protection and belonging for life. She's hoping for an education full of wunder, imagination and discovery - but all the Society wants to teach her is how evil Wundersmiths are. And someone is blackmailing Morrigan's unit, turning her last few loyal friends against her. Has Morrigan escaped from being the cursed child of Wintersea only to become the most hated figure in Nevermoor?
Worst of all, people have started to go missing. The fantastical city of Nevermoor, once a place of magic and safety, is now riddled with fear and suspicion...

Book Beginning:
Morrigan Crow jumped from the Brolly Rail, teeth chattering, hands frozen around the end of her oil-skin umbrella.

Friday 56:
"It's real." Cadence's eyes blazed with fear and excitement. "The Ghastly Market! Morrigan it's real-- and it's happening now."

Q:
You've dropped your favorite book while being chased by a herd of zombies. Would you go back to retrieve it?

A:
Honestly, no. I'm already a really clumsy and slow runner. I wouldn't have time and still remain non-chomped to get it. Hopefully,  I can find an abandoned copy elsewhere.

  2. As above so below. That's a saying for all my witchcraft studies. Is the book about witches at all? The cover is also stunning.

Side note: I'd leave my favorite book behind too, you know there would be plenty more in a bookstore somewhere.

Thanks for linking up and have a great weekend!

  3. Townsend's book looks like so much fun! I love those excerpts. I bet my daughter would enjoy it too. And Marrow Charm sounds so awesome. It's on my wish list.

I'm with you. I don't think I'd go for that book unless I knew the chance of my retrieving it and keeping my life was a certainty.

    Have a great weekend, Marie.

    1. Such a delightful surprise of a book. I can't wait for the sequel. When I read it there wasn't any information about a sequel that I could find.
