Olympic Book Tag

This tag, I believe, was created by Shannon @ It Starts at Midnight. She tagged everyone and I am borrowing her graphics. That's why her blog name is on the one here at the top.
Anyways, I have never watched the Olympics, the main reason, currently, I don't have cable. But I admire Olympic athletes quite a bit. They are an inspiration to many people and are dedicated people.
Shout out to Smashing Magazine for the freebie sports icons!

There a lot of books that I can use for this, but I'm going with Falling Kingdoms. It has a great Prologue.

I don't really read many themed books, but this one does have a road trip element in it. Even though it's not the main plot.

The only time it made sense for there to be a love triangle. And the only time that I was happy with how it all ended.

There really is an Olympic sport for everybody isn't there?
 I didn't know this was a thing.
I just never understood the hype of this book, or it's comparisons to Red Queen.
For me, this book had very flat characters and a plot that didn't make a whole lot of sense. Not to mention the MC was totally a Gary Stu.

Set in the summer on an Australian beach. If you haven't read this, it's an okay series. It's good but it's not a series that I'd feel the desire to re-read.

So many to choose from...
Haven't read it yet, but I watch the show so I assume the book is a bit more gore-y than that.

Hmm....
There were many things revealed in this book that I was not expecting. Great series.

I hate it when a book makes me cry. But this one brought on the water works.

Not sure if it's "slow paced" as much as it's not really that fast paced of a book.

I was always checking this book out from the library. I loved RL Stine's Fear Street books.

Almost all the characters are animals.

There were many reasons I had a hard time finishing this book, though I don't remember the end of this book all that well. Just that a lot of it really unsettled me.

My favorite Contemporary Romance, one of those best friends fall in love stories.

Crumbs... I had to search my read books for this
The main character runs a lot, mostly to deal with stress. This is the closest book I could find for the topic.

This was a fun tag.

  1. Great picks! I'm glad to see we agree on TID! I really tried on Falling Kingdoms, but I ended up dnf'ing it - but I will agree that I really liked that opening!

  2. Aw yay, I love your choices! And OMG YES to Red Rising and the MC being a Gary Stu! Finally someone agrees, I am so happy! I seriously was starting to think that something was wrong with me because I didn't like that book very much 😂 Now you've made me really want to read Daughter of Smoke and Bone, I need to get on that! And I am kind of more intrigued by TID now that there is a GOOD love triangle!
