Top Ten Tuesday: Ten Books I Really Love But Feel Like I Haven't Talked About Enough/In A While

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish.
To take part, just pick your top ten, and add the link here.

There aren't many books I don't get a little shouty over when I love it. The book cover leads to my review of the book.

I believe this is a standalone,
But I really want more books in this world.
This is a very dark and weird book,
I really enjoyed it yet I also am not sure how I feel about it.
A really interesting series about Vampires and Zombies
One of the first book series I've read that focuses on Witches.
It was very enjoyable, and if you like the genre, you might like this one.
What I really love about this series/book is the main character.
She is, in my opinion, pretty original.
I'm not sure how to put in words what I love about this one.
There are a lot of reasons why.
Dragon-hybrids? The world is really interesting, the characters are great
and the back lore is different and very intriguing.
This book is a favorite, because the mermaids are less Disney,
and more how mythology depicts them.
One of the first books to really make me cry. Weird reason to love a book,
but I rarely cry when watching a movie or reading a book.
Ok, this one is totally cheating, I always talk about this book.

    1. No, not a dragon. The world of that series is set, I think it's the very distant future anyways, were everybody has some kind of parasite, and the one he has causes hard snake-like scales to grow on his body. It's a very different dystopian, I would love more people to read that series. It's so good.

  2. Some good looking stuff here. I'm curious about Ice Massacre, that title sounds intense and the cover is nice too. I like a more serious take on merfolk. :)

    1. It's been a few years since I read Lonely Souls, but I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Yeah, Making Faces made me cry enough that I had to put the book down.

  8. I have such an unexplainable fondness for books like The Darkness that are weird and you think you like but you aren't actually 100% sure what it is you feel.

    1. You should give it a read, might like it. There are also some interactive aspects to it that made things different, it was the first book that I've read that had that.
