Top Ten Tuesday: FREEBIE - Top Ten Favorite books of the year, so far.

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish.
To take part, just pick your top ten, and add the link here.

So far this year, I have read a lot of books. More books than I should've, probably. These are just a few of my favorites, mostly since summer started.

1-3  The Raven Cycle 1-3 by Maggie Stiefvater
This was the first book/series I read during the summer. And I honestly have no good excuse for not reading it sooner. Especially considering how much I love these books.

4-6 Crown and Key series by Clay and Susan Griffith:
Reminiscent of a steampunk Dresden Files, this series was so much fun. I loved the characters and the story. And I really hope to see these characters again. I don't want this to be a trilogy.

7 Firefight by Brandon Sanderson:
After reading Steelheart, I had to read this one. The world and the characters are just so damn good. I can't wait to read the third and, sadly, final book in the Reckoners trilogy.

8-9 The Winners trilogy 1-2 by Marie Rutkoski:
Now, these two books damn near killed me. I haven't felt that way about a book since Prodigy by Marie Lu. But this series is easily one of my new favorites, even though I am really scared of the third book.

Okay, choosing #10 is going to be kind of hard actually. I had the opportunity to read some really fantastic ARCs from Curiosity Quills, and some books gifted to me by publishers for various reasons.... and the books I am reading are really great. But since I am not really all that close to finishing either I can't exactly choose them. Anyways, it's kind of a tie between two books for my last choice(s).

10 Hour of Mischief by Aimee Hyndman and The Heartless City by Andrea Berthot
In many ways, these two books couldn't be more different. But both have a great setting and a great cast of characters. Heartless City is a standalone, and I believe that HoM is a series. The first book ends in a way that implies a sequel, and I look forward to reading it.
