Synopsis:
No one is like Daemon Black.
When he set out to prove his feelings for me, he wasn't fooling around. Doubting him isn't something I’ll do again, and now that we've made it through the rough patches, well... There’s a lot of spontaneous combustion going on.
But even he can’t protect his family from the danger of trying to free those they love.
After everything, I’m no longer the same Katy. I’m different... And I’m not sure what that will mean in the end. When each step we take in discovering the truth puts us in the path of the secret organization responsible for torturing and testing hybrids, the more I realize there is no end to what I’m capable of. The death of someone close still lingers, help comes from the most unlikely source, and friends will become the deadliest of enemies, but we won’t turn back. Even if the outcome will shatter our worlds forever.
Together we’re stronger... and they know it.

This is by far the best book in the series, so far. I mean holy sweet alien babies batman. The twists and turns in this book were quite the roller coaster. This book had everything, Humor, romance, saucy moments, suspense, thrills, action. And the characters, human and alien alike, really felt like real people in this book, aside from all the supernatural shenanigans.

The way that Daemon shows his love for Katy is far more believable than a handful of words. His devotion and care for her are deeper than most people will ever experience in a single lifetime. Even though he is controlling at times, his heart is in the right place, wanting to keep as far from danger as possible.

Blake is back, and because I have grown to care about the protagonists of this book I hate him almost as much as the characters do. And he's a total creeper, sneaking into Katy's bed while she was asleep and cuddling her. Ugh, she should have kicked his ass more than she did when she found out. And had Daemon known he wouldn't have hesitated in ending his life, as I'm sure many guys would if they found out someone who nobody trusted and everybody hated was sneaking into his girlfriend bed at night. But the stunt he pulled at the end of the book. I sure hope he gets what's coming to him in the next book.
