Happy Monday everyone and welcome to Music Monday! This weekly meme was created by Lauren @Always Me. Let's share some songs we've been enjoying lately! If you would like to play and I really hope you do, please see the rules and link up.
So, I have had a week and a half. I was previously sick, then my little boy got sick, then The Husband was sick. I am still sorting out things and haven't finished a book in over a month so that part of my blog is still on hold. But sharing music is easy enough, and I do listen to a lot of music.
I also got a kitty this weekend, I was cuddling her the first day I had her and I already felt my stress levels lowering. When we went to the shelter, it took us about 10 seconds to decide she was the kitten we wanted to take home. My little boy likes her, but whenever she tries to get close to him to smell him he runs away. She's asleep in the photo so Dorian felt comfortable getting closer. While we were waiting for the paperwork to go through he wanted to go in the dog room, I informed him he wouldn't like it (Dogs scare him for some reason, not sure why he's never had a negative encounter with a dog) We took two steps in the room and when the dogs started barking he instantly started "noping" back out of the room.
She's about three, and pretty tiny. She was previously a stray so she's a little on the skinny side. We're hoping to get her to a healthy weight soonish. The shelter named her Skye, we like it for her, but I've been calling her "pretty girl"; because she is such a pretty kitty.
Anyways! This past week I have discovered that Michelle Branch has a new album. Her last one came out when I was in High School, way back in 2003. YouTube wasn't a thing yet and iTunes was pretty new, and none of the streaming options existed either, so finding music was harder than is now. I have been listening to the album and I like a number of the songs, I am sharing the first track on the album.
I initially heard a cover of this song, but I wanted to listen to the original, sometimes covers are better than the actual song... but when I watched this, the original MV, I almost started crying. I don't often cry when watching movies, or reading books. But about half way through I was on the verge of tears.
