Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten ALL TIME Favorite Authors

(yeah, I'm mean like that! You could narrow it down to a genre if you it REALLY kills you...or just make your list a top 20 :P )
Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish.
To take part, just pick your top ten, and add the link here.

Well this is a little unfair, I'll see what I can do. Hopefully I wont have to leave any out.
(Oh geez, here it goes)

I will sing praises until the end of time for her books. Her writing is so magical and paints such a beautiful picture in my brain space, I love her and her gorgeous pink hair. I have only read her Daughter of Smoke & Bone trilogy but I want to read more of her work and I can't wait to read what she creates next.

She became a quick favorite. I read the novellas to her Throne of Glass series before starting the series. They were really cheap and those 4 novellas really drew me into the world and made me want to read more. I am so looking forward to the books she has coming out this year.

I have read almost everything this woman has written, and I love all of it. I can't get enough of her writing and her characters, she is like a wizard with how fast she is able to write and create stories.

Even though I have only read her Harry Potter series, she has to go on the list. I was late to reading Harry Potter (High school, the first two movies were already out by then) and when I finally did I fell into the world so hard I became quite the HP nerd, going as far to writing fan fiction.

Falling Kingdoms is such a great series, and her characters are amazing, not to mention the world building. I am so excited for the next book in her series, I can barely stand it, then there's her spin-off series. I can't wait.

When I stumbled onto her Fall Away series, I assumed it was going to be a pretty cookie cutter, easy quick read that I'd enjoy but in the long run it would fall to the back of my mind. Boy was I wrong. It is amazing, and the final book just came out so I am also sad. But I look forward to reading more of her work in the future.

After binge reading the first two books in her Legend trilogy, then crying, followed by being in shock that I had to wait to read the final book. Then when I read it and cried some more and had an internal panic attack during one part of it. I knew she was going to be a favorite, (also we have the same first name, to me that's pretty awesome.)

Another author that I have read most of their books, and can't get enough. While her books often run close to pretty cliche topics, I can't help but not care and devour each of her books. Her YA paranormal trilogy (Existence) was the first of her books I read, while it could have used some polishing, I still love it and it lead me to read her Sea Breeze series, then her Rosemary Beach series. Both series I absolutely love and I am really excited to read more of her books. (She writes mostly New Adult series)

I was also late to the party when it came to reading her books, but I got there. Across the Universe took me on a ride through the Galaxies, and then I read the Body Electric. Her writing has this almost flawlessness to it that sets it apart from other YA authors. I have a couple of her other short stories, I can't wait to see what she gives next. (I've been saying that a lot.. but it's true)

The characters and the world she created for her Lunar Chronicles books, are so well done, and interesting, that I kept forgetting that they are a fairy tale retelling when reading her books.

Honorable Mention(s):

I haven't read many of her books, just the two stand-alone ones she has out; those two books were so amazing and were written so well, that I have to add her.

Her books made me cry... that is a feat. Hopeless was the first book by her that I read, and it brought me to tears, and then more tears when I read Losing Hope.

The writing in Shatter Me was so different from anything I have read, even still. I am really looking forward to reading more of her work.

I know there are some people out there that are a little fed up with her writing Shadowhunter books, but I personally love them and I am eager to read more. Who would say 'No' to more Magnus Bane?

Her books can be a little hit or miss, I've read a few books by her, and I loved about 60% of the ones I've read. It seems she does better when not writing Paranormal Romance books, her Contemporary Romance books are really amazing. The ones that I've read that were a little bit of a miss, it was just small things that could have made the book amazing.

(I had more but I thought I should stop...)

  2. Your list has some good ones! I've recently got to the point where I'm falling in love with JLA, and she may soon be one of my favorites.

    1. It's hard not to be a fan of her writing. Though some of her characters have the same personality through most of her books, it never really bothers me, I love her books anyways.
