Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Really Can’t Remember Much About

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish,
And has recently moved to That Artsy Reader Girl's site.
To take part, just pick your top ten, and add the link here.

I had to really think about this. There's a bunch of books I read as a child that I don't remember at all, and books I don't remember the titles for. (Lots of Nancy Drew books when I was in Grade School). The titles are linked to the GR page since some of them I read before social media and the internet as we know it now existed.
Not remembering them says nothing about the quality, I mean some were not good books, but I have a garbage can memory. But generally, unless it's just been too long ago, if I don't remember a book it's because I didn't like it so I've slightly altered this list some; I really liked some I didn't.

I read this book years ago. 5th grade, at the latest, I think it was. I remember that I didn't know how to properly pronounce the main character's (Hugh) name. So in my mind, I was totally mispronouncing it. I've been trying for years to find this book so I can re-read it.

This book I "read" in 7th grade. It was a book we read as a class, and I was a really slow reader back then so I was never on track with everybody else. I would like to re-read this book, and I think I have it floating around somewhere on my bookshelf.

This was a book from early in my blogging days when I was new to blogging and not so good at reviewing. It was one of the first ones I got from NetGalley and I don't know if I have it anymore.

Another one from the fairly early days of book blogging. And I remember nothing, and from my shoddy review, it looks like a book I wouldn't want to re-read.

Even re-reading the synopsis and my review, I remember next to nothing. Vague reviews aren't so great when trying to remember what I read.

One of the more recent reads on the list. And I remember nothing.

Another pretty recent read. And I am really bummed that I don't remember much of this beyond what I wrote in my review. But It was a book that I enjoyed a little more most of the books on this list. It was published in 2013, and I read it in 2016 the sequel seems to still be in the works and I would like it now.

Less upset that I don't remember this book beyond hating it. It was engaging, but it's also hard to look away from a car crash.

This is one of those books that's the start of a new series, and also the middle of another. And that makes for a pretty "meh" book. Relying too much on reading the other books, but being too boring to inspire anybody to actually do that.

According to my review and rating, I liked this book a lot... but I don't remember reading it nor do I fee the need to ever re-read it.

  3. I was the same way with A Wrinkle in Time. It was one of my favorites as a kid but I remembered absolutely nothing about it until I listened to it on a whim last year. It was essentially like reading a book I'd never read before! It's definitely worth a reread!

  4. Yes to A Wrinkle in Time! I think I read it in 5th grade and desperately need to read it (and the others) again soon.

Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thanks!

  5. I loved A Wrinkle in Time but confess it is very fuzzy in my memory, too, and I re=read to my girls when they were young, and it still has formed a lasting memory in my brain. My TTT Books I Don't Remember well
