After uncovering startling information about her family, Triss is determined to right the wrongs of her ancestors. Triss and Logan uncover who has infiltrated the covens across the globe, and they realize the plans of the dark side are far more sinister than they’d ever imagined.
As the power of this hidden world is exposed, Triss learns her role in the covens. With Logan, Dace and Bakula’s assistance, Triss is now able to fully realize the abilities her ancestors have given her.
It won’t be long until the dark forces regain their strength, especially as their leader, Eben, continues his quest for a power that can never be revoked. Triss must stop him before it is too late.

The third book in Bolton's Witch Avenue Series. I am in love with this series. It's just so damn good. One of the best stories with magic. The trust and realness of Logan and Triss's love is so believable. There's nothing superficial about their love, and it's a love that everybody wishes they had.

Well, I think it's safe to say that in a sense the shit really hits the fan in this book. Triss finds out that she has all these amazing rare abilities. And with all this power her sadistic grandfather now has her in his sights. But not for harm, he wants her to take over his position in the Praedivinus Order. Triss and Logan are taken into hiding, and with all the time they end up spending alone, and them being teenagers, it's safe to assume what they do in their spare time. There is a lot of implied sex in this book and only one time is it actually mentioned that that is what they are doing when Triss isn't practicing her new skills. I guess if the reader is younger-ish and a little naive, Bolton decided to just get it out there that yes, they've been having loads of sex.

A figurative wrench gets thrown into Triss and Logan's desired future together when she discovers that she is a Divinus witch. That her life expectancy is shorter than they thought. While this makes Triss more determined than ever to bring down the Praedivinus Order, it makes Logan more determined to keep Triss safe from harm. They but heads over this a little, but it's logical in the sense that they both just want to protect each other from harm.

As Triss masters her other new powerful skills, they dig deeper into who is involved with the Praedivinus Order. Finding out that Nicholas, Triss's father, is hardly the worst member. Triss's father's sister, Lara, is far more cold-hearted than anyone they had ever encountered. Trying more than once to kill both Logan and Triss. Logan because he left the Order, and Triss out of sheer jealousy but obviously being unsuccessful both times. They are able to eliminate Lara as a threat and entrap Eben, Triss's grandfather. As Triss is about to end Eben, her father stops her and sacrifices his soul so that Triss will never touch the dark side of magic. His last words to Triss are words filled with regret and apology. Redeeming himself, Triss doesn't want to let him do that, but Logan drags her away from the building.

I am just so very glad that I was able to buy this whole series at once, and that it was cheap enough that it wouldn't break the bank. I can't imagine trying to read these books as they came out, it would have driven me insane. Mad props to those that did, though. I can't say enough how much I have fallen in love with this series, I just require that Logan and Triss have a happily ever after, I need the story to end that way.
