Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books To Read If Your Book Club Likes Weird Books

I don't know if I would ever join a book club. I don't like to put time restraints on my reading. It makes it less fun and reminds me of assigned reading back in school. But if I were part of a reading group, I would want to try and read as many "weird" and unconventional books as possible. Reading too many of the same kind of book makes things stale for me. Weird in a good way. I try and mix things up with my reading by reading books I'm not sure I'd like. Not all of these books are books I 100% enjoyed. Some are books I actually didn't really like as much as I wanted to, but since I'm not the kind of person to tell others what to read (Unless I loathed the book, and I try and keep the reasons reasonable) I figured I'd share any book I deemed weird that I've read, and let you lovely people decide if it sounds like a book you'd enjoy.

  1. Reading unusual books would be entertaining - especially since we don't always read those kinds of books in our normal reading lives. I do have Of Beast and Beauty on my shelf. Whether or not I'll get it read is anyone's guess. :D

  2. I love book club for the exact opposite reason you expressed. Book clubs force me to read books I wouldn't ordinarily select and I am forced to read fast or in a timely manner. But I admit being in two clubs is sometimes a chore.

  4. I haven't read any of these but I recognize several (and several have very distinctive covers). I love the look of Lumiere and Nirvana is an amazing cover. True Born also looks good, I'll have to go look it up as I'm just going off the cover. I agree though "weird" reads might be kinda fun in a book club setting, to discuss.
