Please join us over at RoseCityReader every Friday to share the first sentence (or so) of the book you are reading, along with your initial thoughts about the sentence, impressions of the book, or anything else the opener inspires. Currently Reading
Book Beginning:
Blood clotted in my nostrils. I was scent-blind and chocking on dust kicked up by my opponent's shuffling footwork.

Thoughts:
This is the fourth book in this series. I've been a little addicted to this series since book one. So, I already knew this book was going to be intense.

56% on tablet:
I ran for all I was worth, retracing our steps, wishing I hadn't left blood behind that they could use as a focusing object for any nasty spells they wanted to design for me.

  1. I feel like I've come in to the middle of a conversation and have no idea what is going on. Guess I'll have to start on book one.

  2. This sounds good. I've been binging on urban fantasy this summer but haven't heard of this series. I'll have to add it to the stack. My BB and 56 this week come from The Master Magician by Charlie N. Holmberg. Happy reading!

    1. Be sure to start with book one, other wise not only will you spoil yourself on future topics, but you might also get a little confused. :p

    1. The modern take on Fae mythology and half-fae and their place is really interesting. And the MC has a pretty awesome name. Thierry Thackeray

    1. I really love this series. It's one of those lesser known authors and books, and those are my favorite kind. I do read a lot of the "main stream" books, but the books that are lesser known have been some of my favorite in the past few years since I started blogging. Happy Weekend. :)
