Friday 56: Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson

This is a weekly meme hosted by Freda's Voice

These are the rules:
1. Grab a book, any book.
2. Turn to page 56, or 56% on your eReader.
3. Find any sentence (or a few, just don't spoil it) that grabs you.
4. Post it.
5. Add the URL to your post in the link on Freda's most recent Friday 56 post

Reckoners #1

"Nightwielder and Firefight were with him, flying about ten feet above the ground. A cavalcade of cars beneath, like a military convoy. I couldn't make out any faces, though I suspected the suspicious person was among them.
Five pictures. Four of them showed a trio of Epics flying side by side. And in one of them -- right in the middle of the sequence -- Firefight's shape had fuzzed and gone translucent."

  2. Hope you enjoy this one...it does look exciting, even though it's not my usual genre. Here's mine: “AMHERST”

  5. Very interesting quote! I am doing Tolkien quotes for these probably through the end of March.

    1. The only one of his books I was able to get into was The Hobbit, and that was a while ago in high school. His books do have some great quotes though.
