This is a weekly meme hosted by Freda's Voice

These are the rules:
1. Grab a book, any book.
2. Turn to page 56, or 56% on your eReader.
3. Find any sentence (or a few, just don't spoil it) that grabs you.
4. Post it.
5. Add the URL to your post in the link on Freda's most recent Friday 56 post.

"The stink of unwashed bodies, stale urine, and infection breaks through the cloud of antiseptic."

  2. Oh wow that tease is pretty intense! One of the things I like about THG is that Collins allows for some reality in her book! Maybe I should start reading these books... Thanks for sharing :) I hope you enjoy your weekend!

    1. It's one of the better YA dystopian trilogies out there. The other really good one is the Legend Trilogy by Marie Lu.

  4. I really need to reread these books. I meant to before the movies came out, but never did. Oh look, 31 days until The Winner's Crime comes out (thank you for that lovely reminder). I'm so stoked!

    1. I actually didn't even know these books existed until I heard about the movie coming out, So I bought them and read the entire trilogy before I saw the movie. I plan on re-reading them pretty soon, I just have a bunch of other books I want to get through first. I also need and want to read The Winner's Curse. I need to buy it first though. :)

    1. I haven't seen Mockingjay yet, I want to. But movie ticket are really expensive. Books and caffeine are my vices and I'd rather spend my money on those more. This book is worth the read, though they have done a great job adapting these books into movies so far I expect that is no different for this last book.

  6. Well that sounds delightful! I read and loved Hunger Games but haven't been quite brave enough to continue with the series. I was content with the ending and didn't want anything else bad to happen to them!

    1. The series is worth the read. While they are doing a really good job adapting these books into movies, there is only so much that they can put into the movie. Some small things are always left out, small things that do add to the reading experience.

    1. This was the more depressing book of the series. I think this one made me cry.... poor Prim.

    1. I still have yet to see the first half. Movie tickets are expensive, and I'd rather spend my money on books, and then rent the movie from Redbox or wherever when it comes out.
